Wheel thrown using porcelain clay, with several local mountain rocks embedded and fired into the clay. The exterior has a matte crystalline glaze that splits in spots to create what look a bit like little lightning bolts. Part of the exterior is very textured and glossy. The interior glaze is smooth and food safe.
Wood fired to create an irreplicable, unpredictable surface that shifts in character from one side of the cup to the other.
Gentle hand washing is recommended, but occasional dishwasher/microwave use is fine.
