Anthropocene Mugs are:
Made with cone ten porcelain clay and food safe glazes.
Dishwasher safe but gentle hand washing is recommended.
Can be glazed using a sky blue or turquoise exterior glaze.
The basic Anthropocene Mug includes:
Low canyon wall, skull, more simple sculptural elements (simple rock wall—less detail, a few cacti, and simple mossy details),

Skeleton hand/arm $50
Cactus flowers or additional sculpted elements $20+
Real rock(s) fired into the clay $20+

The full Anthropocene Mug includes:
Taller canyon wall, skull with hand (and arm if it fits the design), mossy details, cactus flowers, a few rocks embedded and fired into the clay, sculptural elements such as canyon wall and handle will be more detailed.

A heads up regarding my Made to Order pieces:
My creative process when making these mugs is informed by the topography of randomly applied exterior texture, so each mug will be distinct but similar to those that I have already made. I’m unable to replicate a previous mug design exactly.
I can’t promise an exact volume because i don’t use molds, so I will aim for a preferred general size/volume range, such as small (8-10 ounce) medium (12-14 ounce) and large (16+ ounce).
I will make 2 versions of your altar just in case (because clay can be a real pain, sometimes emerging with unexpected flaws). Patience is appreciated if delays occur!
Glazes may vary a bit in color.
I encourage you to see this as an adventure you and I will embark on together! My goal is to make you a beautiful, durable mug that you will love and use for many years.
Once you put down a $60 deposit we can chat about preferences and pricing.
I’ll entertain custom ideas and let you know if they’re feasible.
After you receive your price estimate, you have a week to decide whether to proceed. If you change your mind, no worries! Your deposit will be refunded. Once I begin working on your piece, the deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the total cost of your order.

This listing is a deposit for a made to order Anthropocene Mug. Once paid, I will email you within 24 hours to chat about your preferences :)
Once we have settled on an overall plan and I have given you an estimated total cost, I offer a one week grace period during which you can feel free to change your mind about preferences or cancel your order. After that period the deposit will be non refundable, as I may have already started making your piece. Once I begin your piece allow up to eight weeks for shipment.
The balance will be due at the time of shipping.

All pieces will be made using high fired porcelain and food safe glazes.
These mugs are intended to be functional sculptures, durable enough for daily use. Gentle hand washing is preferred.
