A wheel thrown art mug -- functional sculpture that you can touch and interact with. I sculpted a textured, cracking and fragmented facade with loose rocks, punctuated with pockets of moss. The handle is sculpted to resemble precariously stacked rocks, sanded smooth so it's comfortable to hold.
High fired to 2345 degrees fahrenheit (cone ten) and fully vitrified. Durable enough to use daily. The interior is glazed in a satin white. The exterior is lightly glazed and accented with turquoise green and light green glazes. Glazes are food safe.
Hand washing recommended although occasional dishwasher cleaning is fine. Microwave safe.
