This is a porcelain version of the stoneware canyon mug, a bit less realistic but with the same general theme. This version reminds me of white limestone. I sculpted a cracking and fragmented facade with loose rocks, punctuated with cacti perched in tiny pockets of soil.
Made with porcelain and high fired to 2345 degrees fahrenheit (cone ten). The interior is glazed in white. The exterior is lightly glazed and accented with turquoise glaze.
Hand washing recommended although occasional dishwasher cleaning is fine. Microwave safe.
